Meliponiculture is the practice of keeping and managing colonies of stingless bees (Meliponini), primarily for honey production, pollination, and conservation. Together with our network of beekeepers, we are spearheading sustainable stingless beekeeping in Tanzania.

Apiculture is the practice of keeping and managing colonies of honeybees (Apis mellifera), primarily for honey production, pollination, and conservation.

Apitourism is a niche form of tourism centered around beekeeping and bee-related activities. It offers visitors immersive experiences such as hive tours, honey tastings, beekeeping workshops, and education on bee conservation, highlighting the ecological and cultural significance of bees.

All this can be experienced at our center for the conservation of bees through research and education Beetopia in Arusha.
